Events: MS, WS, MD, WD, MXD (played in A/B, C/D and Senior divisions). Events with few entrants may be combined with other events or cancelled. A/B is for tournament-level players. C/D is for club/novice level players. A/B players will start together, first round losers will drop to the “B” division. C/D players will start together, first round losers will drop to “D” division. Senior division entrants must be at least 40 years old for men and 35 years old for women. All age requirements apply to the day of the tournament.

Eligibility: Open to players who are members of USA Badminton. Membership must be current at the time of playing or may be purchased on the day of the tournament. Foreign players need permission from their national associations and must have USAB membership also.

* Registration & Fees: The entry fee is $20.00 per event if postmarked on or before June 11, 2008. Entrants will be accepted on a first come basis. To qualify, entries from BOTH partners in doubles events are required; the later partner’s entry date will determine eligibility. At the tournament director’s discretion late entries may be accepted if an event is still open after the deadline. Any such late entries may be subject to a $5 per event per person surcharge. Events may be closed prior to the deadline if a large number of entries for an event are received. Awards: Trophies for champions and runners-up in all divisions. Seniors will also have consolation flights for first-round losers. Trophies will be awarded to all consolation winners. Prize money will be awarded to senior division champions only. Prize money will not be awarded in the senior consolation division.

Venue: Joe & Rosie Ruhl Student Community Center. Park in the student lot off of Irving Road. Players late to the tournament need to contact the tournament desk at 717-580-0421.

Directions: Penn State York is located in Spring Garden Township adjacent to city-owned athletic and recreational facilities. The best routes to the campus are listed below. From the Pennsylvania Turnpike: Exit the Harrisburg/York interchange (Exit 18/242) and follow I-83 south. Exit 1-83 at Exit 18 and follow directions below.

From the east or west via Route 30: Take Route 30 to I-83 and follow 1-83 south to Exit 18. See directions from Exit 18 below.

From Exit 18 of I-83: Proceed west on Route 124 for approximately 1 mile. Turn left on Albemarle Street. Follow Albemarle Street for five blocks to campus entrances on right. Enter at Irving Road for Admissions parking. Enter at Edgecomb Avenue for other visitor parking.
